NOSTRUM BIODISCOVERY S.L. is a spin-off of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Spain, devoted to the development and exploitation of state-of-the-art AI-driven computational (bio)chemistry and simulation tools for the design of next-generation therapies and biotechnology products.
The Protein Engineering department uses and develops proprietary and open-source computational tools, aiming to boost protein design campaigns, including antibody engineering.

Nostrum is an R&D partner for biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, CROs, and academic institutions, collaborating on the discovery and optimization of next-generation antibodies through cutting-edge in silico technologies. We work closely with our partners on computational de novo antibody design, epitope-guided engineering, and affinity maturation, contributing scientific expertise throughout the development process. Nostrum is actively engaged in collaborative R&D and co-development projects, building long-term partnerships to accelerate antibody innovation.

Our proprietary technologies can reduce costs and time, as exemplified by the case study of our collaboration between Navigo Proteins GmbH and Nostrum, with similar results between phage display and our computational workflow, and a further engineering round led to 2 patents filed in the European Patent Office.
