Crownlands is a San Francisco-based precision neuroscience company. We've built the world's largest single-cell human dataset in neuroscience, collected entirely from living patients. Now we can collect longitudinal, disease-specific human data at scale for neurodegenerative diseases.

We do this by collecting olfactory neurons: CNS-lineage neurons found in the nasal cavity, harvested from olfactory epithelium along with other proximal, disease-relevant resident cells.

These neurons express 84% of brain-enriched genes, show synaptic pathway enrichment exceeding that of iPSC-derived neurons, and carry Alzheimer's and Parkinson's-relevant proteinopathy in a stage-relevant manner. In short, olfactory neurons collected by Crownlands are the richest molecular human datapoints in neuroscience.
