Yann Thillier, PhD,
Yann Thillier is currently a senior scientist at Chemgenes Corporation in Billerica, MA. He is involved in the development and synthesis of challenging modified oligonucleotides. He joined the ChemGenes oligo team in January 2021 and brought more than 10 years of experience in the development of therapeutics nucleic acids and their post synthesis modifications.
Yann received his Ph.D. from University Montpellier in France in 2012, where he worked on novel RNA synthesis and deprotection technologies, the chemical synthesis of 5’-Capped, 5’-Triphosphates and their metabolic stable analogs. He furthered his education during his postdoctoral position under the guidance of Professor Anastasia Khvorova at UMASS, to develop a combinatorial approach for the discovery of novel glycopeptide conjugates in order to improve target tissue delivery. Besides nucleic acids chemistry, Yann is also experienced in carbohydrate and peptide chemistries
