Xinmin Simon Xie is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AfaSci, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Under his leadership, AfaSci’s lead program has successfully completed Phase I clinical trials and demonstrates strong potential as a first-in-class non-opioid analgesic and anti-seizure therapy. In addition to advancing its therapeutic pipeline, the company provides specialized contract research organization (CRO) services built on its proprietary technology platform.

Dr. Xie has served as a scientific reviewer for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2004, contributing to the evaluation of cutting-edge biomedical research. He previously held a position as Consulting Professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine and continues to collaborate on research spanning pain, epilepsy, and neurodegenerative diseases.
