William Sun is currently the Director of Molecular Virology at Vaxart Inc. With over 25 years of experience in biotech, he has led research groups in public and private sectors. Prior to joining Vaxart, he was a principal investigator in A*STAR Singapore. William has managed research projects in drug discovery, stem cell therapy, antibody technology, and vaccine development across various fields including metabolic disease, neurobiology, oncology, and infectious disease. He holds a PhD from UC San Diego and a BSci from MIT.
