Trudi Veldman

Trudi Veldman is a Biologics Drug Discovery Expert with 40 years experience in biotech and pharma industry. For the past 3+ years she has been the head of AbbVie’s Neglected Diseases R&D supporting the clinical development of a drug for river blindness and discovery and development support for projects targeting tuberculosis, malaria and other neglected diseases. She mentors junior Project Leaders and mid-career professionals at AbbVie as well as through Women Unlimited Inc. Prior to joining AbbVie/Abbott, she worked for 20 years at Genetics Institute/Wyeth (now Pfizer) in Cambridge where she headed up the Antibody Technology Group. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Free University in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
