Sanjivan Gautam
Dr. Sanjivan Gautam is the Director of Cell Therapy at AstraZeneca, bringing extensive expertise in basic and preclinical research with a focus on T-cell biology, biologics, and advanced cell-therapy platforms. His experience spans the development and GMP-compliant manufacturing of CAR T-cell therapies, supporting the translation of innovative immunotherapies from discovery into the clinic.
Dr. Gautam completed his postdoctoral training at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and earned his Ph.D. in Germany, where he specialised in immunology and translational research. Alongside his scientific leadership roles, he remains actively engaged in initiatives aimed at expanding access to advanced therapies in developing countries, advocating for global equity in next-generation treatments.
