Rustin Shenkman is Director of Internal Development and Manufacturing at Kiniksa, where he is responsible for cell line development, cell culture process development, early clinical Upstream manufacturing, and scale-up. Rustin drives clone selection, process robustness, and continuous improvement to adjust to evolving Regulatory expectations. Prior to Kiniksa, Rustin held roles of increasing responsibility at Shire and Takeda in support of enzyme and viral vector process development and manufacture. He conducted post-doctoral research at the Ohio State Medical Center, earned his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Ohio State University, and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Tufts University.
