Robert Thorne joined Denali Therapeutics as a Denali Fellow in 2018 after over 10 years on the faculty at New York University School of Medicine and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on CNS barriers, neurophysiology and drug delivery to the brain, including routes of administration that bypass the blood-brain barrier, CNS biodistribution, and receptor-mediated transcytosis across the BBB. An experienced key opinion leader, Robert has spent over three decades advancing understanding of CNS structure, barrier biology and translational approaches for treating neurological disease worldwide.
