Ricardo N. Ramirez, PhD, is a genome scientist with 15+ years of experience advancing neuro–rare disease research and genomic medicine development. His expertise spans computational biology, epigenetics, and gene regulation, with experience in building scalable genomic infrastructure and driving preclinical discovery to early clinical translation for epigenetic therapies. Trained at UC Irvine and Harvard Medical School, he has contributed to major consortia and pioneered approaches to understanding regulatory biology. As Chief Scientific Officer of the MED13L Foundation, he leads therapeutic strategy and biomarker development, integrating scientific rigor with patient-centered insights to accelerate meaningful treatments for MED13L syndrome.
