Immunologist with 15+ years of biotech/biopharmaceutical experience in autoimmune, inflammation and oncology therapeutic areas, particularly the development of antibody-based immunotherapies. Immune regulation and development of antibodies to modulate regulatory T cell function are the focus of recent work.

Major areas of expertise and experience:

• Hands-on technical expertise in cellular and molecular immunology, target discovery and validation, design and execution of antibody optimization strategies including humanization, affinity maturation, and Fc engineering; recombinant antibody expression systems; small and medium scale production and purification; stable cell line construction for master cell banks and production of clinical trial material.
• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary translational research and development teams advancing antibodies from hybridoma generation and humanization through early phase clinical development; directing and supporting a broad range of IND-enabling activities including non-human primate PK/PD/tox studies, biochemical, flow cytometry and cell-based binding and functional assay development; preparation of regulatory documents.
• Strong management skills with the proven ability to lead cross-functional research and development teams in a matrix management structure by building relationships at all levels in an organization.
