Nori Ueno
Nori Ueno earned his BA at Cornell University and PhD in microbiology at the University of Iowa. He then continued his training at the University of California, Irvine, studying Toxoplasma gondii dissemination as an American Heart Association postdoctoral fellow. He published his work in Journal of Leukocyte Biology, Cellular Microbiology, MBio, Immunology and Cell Biology, and Nature Microbiology.
In 2016, Nori entered Thermo Fisher Scientific as an applications scientist and later a technical sales lead in flow cytometry, further pursuing his passion in scientific communication and experimental design. Nori is currently a director of business development at Mission Bio, where he supports cell and gene therapy partners to elevate product characterization using bespoke single cell precision genomics. With both extensive scientific training and commercial acumen, Nori shares his thoughtful insights to the world of single cell assays as well as the broader field of precision medicine.
