Mehmet Karaca, Ph.D., is a molecular biologist and sequencing expert with extensive experience advancing analytical development for gene therapy programs. As Director of Molecular Biology Sequencing at Sarepta Therapeutics, he leads NGS method development, validation, dataanalysis pipeline implementation, and QC support across multiple rAAV based gene therapy programs. His expertise spans short and longread sequencing, CRISPR genotyping, RNAseq, genomic integrity assays, and bioinformatics infrastructure development. Previously, he held senior scientific roles at Sarepta, Inari Agriculture, and New England Biolabs, developing sequencing kit and delivering innovative assay solutions.
