Lei has worked as an associate Director in upper stream process development department in Bayer, Berkeley site since 2021. Lei was born and raised in China. After finishing her master program in Academy of Military Medical Science, a Chinese military research institute, she moved to Germany to pursue her PHD and continued her research career in Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla in 2010. Since July 2015, Lei has mainly dedicated her time and effort on autologous Cell therapy drug product development, using viral or CRISPR technology to further reprogram the target cells. Lei loves travelling and has travelled all over the world.
