Jonathan Grob is a scientist, AI-enabled drug hunter, and platform builder with nearly 25 years of experience across pharma and biotech. He is Vice President of Small Molecules at Ginkgo Bioworks, leading small molecules drug discovery services. At Valo, he headed Early Discovery Chemistry, building an AI-enabled, closed-loop discovery platform integrating chemistry, ADME, biology, and data science, and spent two decades at Novartis advancing small-molecule programs from discovery through lead optimization. He has authored numerous publications and patents, and is passionate about collaborative, cross-functional teams. Outside work, he coaches high school baseball and flag football, hikes, and plays fantasy football.
