Jon (Jed) Chatterton
Jed Chatterton, Ph.D., is a biotechnology research leader with more than 20 years of experience developing novel therapeutics for ophthalmic diseases. He currently leads ocular preclinical research at the Roche Innovation Center in Philadelphia (formerly Spark Therapeutics), focusing on AAV-based gene therapy and IND-enabling development. Previously, he held leadership roles at Gemini Therapeutics, Generation Bio, Precision Biosciences, and Alcon, where he worked across gene therapy, gene editing, RNA therapeutics, and targeted drug delivery for retinal and other ocular diseases. He has also advised pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as a consultant on therapeutic targets, delivery technologies, and development strategies. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UCLA.
