John Lee
John Lee is an accomplished oncology research and development leader with more than 13 years of experience advancing next-generation immuno-oncology therapeutics from concept through candidate nomination and IND-enabling studies. As Director of Biology at Chantibody, he leads the development of innovative multispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and T-cell engagers designed to address high-value targets in oncology.
John has extensive expertise in building and executing integrated biology and preclinical strategies that accelerate programs from lead identification to advanced candidate selection. He combines scientific rigor with operational efficiency, applying disciplined experimental design and clear decision-making frameworks to prioritize differentiated assets with strong translational potential.
His leadership spans all aspects of IND-enabling development, including translational pharmacology, biomarker strategy, PK/ADA assessments, toxicology, and nonclinical safety. John works closely with cross-functional teams and contract research organizations to align strategy and execution, delivering high-quality, submission-ready data packages that support both internal development and partner-sponsored regulatory filings.
In addition to his scientific leadership, John has significant experience in scientific diligence, opportunity evaluation, and search and evaluation activities, making him a valuable contributor to partnering and business development initiatives. His work is focused on identifying and advancing therapeutics with the greatest potential to improve outcomes for patients with cancer.
