Ishita Chatterjee is Director of Assay Development at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where she leads assay development and fit-for-purpose qualification for preclinical and clinical drug development. She holds a BSc in Zoology and MSc in Cytogenetics from Calcutta University, India, and a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Before Regeneron, she worked on high-throughput small-molecule screening targeting Tau protein involved in Alzheimer’s disease. Highlights of her work include contributions to Regeneron’s lead drugs: Cemiplimab (an immune checkpoint inhibitor used in cancer immunotherapy), and REGN-COV-2 (COVID-19 antibody cocktail) and Inmazeb (Ebola monoclonal antibody cocktail).
