Debasis Patra

Debasis Patra has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with extensive expertise in CMC, regulatory strategy, CDMO management, and hands-on experience in process R&D and global scale-up to manufacturing plants. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry and completed postdoctoral research focused on developing novel methodologies and synthesising natural products.
Throughout his career, he has led teams of scientists and engineers, managing R&D operations and pilot plants to develop processes and deliver innovative small-molecule products. For the past three years, he has been heading CMC operations at OliX, a biotechnology company developing treatments in ophthalmology, alopecia, dermatology, and hepatology.
