David Giegel has a BS in Chemistry from Miami University (Ohio) and MS and PhD degrees in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan. He spent 20 years managing drug discovery departments at major pharmaceutical companies (Parke- Davis, Pfizer and Celgene). For the past seventeen years he has been a serial entrepreneur via starting his own company (TissueNetix, Inc.) or helping other startup companies develop their technology (MicroStem, Nanomedical Diagnostics/Cardea, August Therapeutics and Armonica Technologies). His interests cover new technologies in drug discovery, efficacy of small molecule drugs versus biologics and application of -omics data to drug optimization.
