Damiano is a CMC Lead at Astellas Gene Therapies currently overseeing the development and CMC strategy of three Gene Therapy programs in the rare disease space in late, early and pre-clinical stages. In his two-decades career he has worked on several biologics’ drugs in research and development roles ranging from Analytical Development analyst to CMC regulatory affairs to project and program management. He holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London and lives in Napa California with his wife and two children.
