Dr. Christian Furlan Freguia is a seasoned leader in translational research with over a decade of experience in microbiome, gene therapy, hematology, metabolic diseases, cancer immunotherapy, and vaccine R&D. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Research at Rise Therapeutics, overseeing preclinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and clinical operations. Previously, he held key positions at Synthetic Biologics and ImQuest Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Freguia has successfully led multiple IND filings, managed multidisciplinary teams, and secured significant funding for research initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology from the University of Ferrara.
