Caspar Murphy is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VUW.ai, an AI-driven insurtech company transforming underwriting and decision-making across the insurance value chain. Since founding VUW.ai in 2021, Caspar has led the development of advanced adaptive AI models designed to enhance risk assessment, underwriting accuracy, and business insight generation. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its market presence through strategic partnerships and the build-out of a multidisciplinary team spanning AI engineering, data science, and insurance domain expertise.

Caspar brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of technology, finance, and innovation. Prior to VUW.ai, he was Director at Zioum, where he advised SMEs on advertising, growth strategy, and product development, applying structured innovation frameworks such as the Stage-Gate process. He also served as CEO of LeanTest.it, a startup focused on rapid MVP validation and Lean Startup methodologies, enabling founders to test product-market fit at speed using social and crowd-based tools.

Earlier in his career, Caspar worked in financial services as an Emerging Markets Strategist at Dresdner Kleinwort (now part of Commerzbank AG), where he gained deep exposure to global markets, risk, and financial strategy.

With a career spanning investment banking, entrepreneurship, and applied AI, Caspar combines strategic rigor with hands-on execution, making him a recognised voice in the application of AI to complex, data-driven industries such as insurance.
