Organ-on-a-Chip technology is enabling more human-relevant approaches to neuroscience research by recreating key aspects of organ-level physiology in vitro, including tissue-tissue interaction, vascular perfusion, and barrier function. In this Spotlight Sponsor presentation, Emulate will introduce how its Brain-Chip R1 models the neurovascular unit using five isogenic iPSC-derived cell types designed to support studies of blood-brain barrier biology, neuroinflammation, and CNS drug development. The presentation will also preview Emulate’s upcoming Brain-Chip Array model for the AVA™ Emulation System, which will bring this capability into a high-throughput format for blood-brain barrier screening applications.
