- Many biologically informative CNS biomarkers exist at extremely low concentrations in blood. How much potential biology and clinical insight are we missing because of assay sensitivity rather than biology itself?
- Will CSF and a spinal tap always be required to measure CNS disease-associated biomarkers? Or are their other peripheral matrices where CNS biomarkers may better reflect CNS disease than blood?
- Will one biomarker be sufficient to diagnose a CNS disease for disease-modifying therapy treatment? Or will multiple biomarkers be needed to define patients that will respond to DMT?
- Related question: Will multiple biomarkers be needed to exclude patients with co-pathologies or identify those were combination therapies will be efficacious?
