Poster Presentation: Integrated Same-Cell Multiomics Profiling with Xenium In Situ Reveals a Neuron-Associated Proliferative Tumor Subpopulation in Glioblastoma

Using the Xenium In Situ RNA+Protein Assay, we simultaneously profiled 277 RNA and 24 protein targets at single-cell resolution in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) tissue. Same-cell multiomic analysis reveals a neuronal-associated proliferative program in GBM. By combining RNA and protein spatial data, we identified a CENPF⁺/GAD1⁺/TENM1⁺ tumor population. This subpopulation demonstrates high proliferation and broad infiltration, suggesting that GAD1-driven metabolism and TENM1-mediated neuronal signaling may cooperate to promote tumor growth and spread. This multiomic perspective reveals how GBM leverages neuronal pathways to enhance malignancy and provides a framework for dissecting RNA–protein discordance in other complex tissues.
