Camelid immunization has long been viewed as a slow, unpredictable path to VHH discovery, particularly against challenging targets like GPCRs, ion channels, and high-homology protein families. At Abkyu, we set out to change that. Through optimized in vivo immunization strategies, we demonstrate rapid generation of diverse VHH repertoires against target classes that have historically resisted conventional approaches. Diverse repertoire capture and analysis strategies ensure we get the most out of every program — an approach that has delivered a 100% success rate to date. We will share the strategies we deploy and tools we have developed to tackle the industry's most challenging targets for VHH discovery.
