Opening Address & Keynote Presentation: Seeing the Whole Story: How averaged views of antibodies could be holding CMC back
Mass spectrometry is the backbone of modern antibody CMC characterization, yet it requires running multiple separate assays to build a more complete picture of the product. This approach carries costs such as sample-prep artifacts mistaken for real modifications, lost proteoform connectivity, reliance on scarce expertise, and a relatively slow turnaround against increasingly tight timelines.
In this talk we will cover how current MS techniques create friction for antibody analysis and the implication of these issues. We will introduce a complementary approach using single-molecule protein identification and sequencing on a nanopore platform that reads intact, full-length proteins in a single pass. And cover how Portal Biotech is applying this to antibodies products.
